Soooooooooooooooo.....what are we to make of this week's episode? Some things I noticed:

- "The Pearl" video: Dr. Candle's arm was working - so either the idea that his arm was injured in the film was a bunk one - or somehow it was fixed (which, given the properties of the island, isn't an impossibility). ALSO - the Pearl video was on like Betamax video NOT FILM. Interesting...indicates some elapsing of time in the setup of the Dhmarma Initiative on the island?

- The printout in the pearl appears to be of all the entries that the computer has made; I wonder if Locke will be able to check it to see if Henry Gale was lying about entering the numbers (and/or will he see the conversation that Michael had with Walt).

- Finally the men of faith, Locke and Eko, are together. Anybody else think that Hanso or the DeGroots (or whoever is pulling the strings) has the ability to get inside people's dreams and appear to them as people from their lives?

- Poor Hurley.

I'm starting to think like Eko, the button needs pushing. It seems they're trying extra hard to make it all look like a ruse, but I think something's fishy with the idea that there's a station with the repetitive, all-important task of monitoring the repetitive, all-important activities elsewhere and reporting on those activities regularly. We all know that there's something very strange--virtually paranormal--going on at this island, I find it hard to believe that all these stations would amount to nothing more than conditioning experiments.

Very interesting. That's why I'm desperate to see the log that Locke printed out; to see if Gale was lying when he said he didn't push the button.
